Faults in the functioning of photovoltaic plants that are detected too late can have serious effects on their energy yields. Financial losses and thus lower profitability are often the result. In order to prevent possible malfunctions and to be able to react quickly in the event of a problem, professional PV plant monitoring is required.
But how is the monitoring optimally implemented in photovoltaics? As a rule, installers offer their customers a service contract that includes the monitoring of the PV system and fault identification. If a problem arises that needs to be solved on the spot, a service call can be made promptly.
The more service contracts an installer has concluded, the more time it takes to complete the service. The daily monitoring and error evaluation of PV plants in particular require a great deal of time and resources.
In order to support installers, Solare Datensysteme GmbH (SDS) offers its service Solar-Log™ WEB-4U. A team of experts from SDS take over the PV monitoring for the installer. All incoming error messages are analyzed and evaluated by SDS. The installer will then be contacted and informed proactively.
